A little about me...

I've been a graphic designer for over 25 years. Throughout that time I've worked in a pre-press shop, a corporate office, a communications agency, and a college. But most of that time I've been freelance, and much of my work has been with musicians, theatre companies, non-profit and non-governmental organizations. So much fun, and so rewarding.

Aside from design, I've also been very involved with international development and social justice work. I started as a volunteer with Change for Children (CFCA), a small, Alberta-based NGO, and eventually worked with them full-time. With CFCA, I got to travel to Central America several times to visit, work with, and learn from their project partners. In 2000, I was Coordinator of the “Painting Peace” Project, based on the United Nations’ “Culture of Peace” initiative. The project used visual art to explore the themes of peace beyond an absence of war. It included the painting of over 90 small mural panels and three large outdoor murals in Nicaragua, El Salvador and Canada.

A call from Six Shooter Records led me to leave Edmonton for Toronto in 2004. I began working a lot with Martin Tielli - he'd do the painting, I'd do the layout for so many albums. In 2010, we decided to ditch the big city, and now live & work on a fantastic little acreage just oustide of Hamilton, at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment. Love it out here.
